A few celebrity couples in Hollywood, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham, have gotten engaged but have yet to officially tie the knot.
Others, like Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt, and Lenny Kravitz and Nicole Kidman, got engaged but broke things off before any wedding bells.
When someone asks their partner, “Will you marry me?” and they get a resounding “yes” back, then that’s a definite, unmistakable commitment. And while wedding planning is the natural next step, and engagement doesn’t always end in wedding bells.
For example, Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and movie star Jason Statham got engaged in 2016, but are in no rush to walk down the aisle. “Maybe one day. It’s not something that’s ever been massively important to me,” she told The Sunday Times. “Throwing a big, fancy wedding is not something I feel is necessary at this point in my life. If we do, it will be low-key.”
On the other hand, plenty of couples have reached the engagement milestone but called it quits before they made it down the aisle. Take Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt or Lenny Kravitz and Nicole Kidman for example.

Having been together since 2010, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham are one of Hollywood’s longest lasting couples. Though they got engaged in January 2016, they remain unmarried a decade later.
“I think the time will come,” Huntington-Whiteley said of a wedding in an interview with Extra in 2018. “We’ve been so focused on our work for so long, and Jack came along. We definitely talk about it, we’re looking forward to that time, it’s also not a huge priority for us, we’re so happy.” The couple shares two children: a son named Jack, born in June 2017, and a daughter named Isabella, born in February 2022.

Our love is secure enough that we don’t need a wedding to prove our love and commitment.” They share a daughter, Summer Rain, who was born in 2014. Aguilera also has a son, Max Liron Bratman, from her previous marriage to Jordan Bratman.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt became a Hollywood power couple after they met in 1994 on the cast of Se7en. “I met him on set and like we had like kind of a love at first sight thing,” she recalled on the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, per People. “It was pretty awesome. It was really fun.”
They got engaged in 1996 but broke things off in June 1997 before ever tying the knot.
