Pete Davidson has always dreamed of becoming a dad.
It became a reality when he and his girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, welcomed their first baby, a girl named Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson.
The couple announced the news on Dec. 18, sharing a series of photos of themselves with their newborn on Instagram.
"My best work yet, i am absolutely overflowing with love and gratitude and disbelief," Hewitt captioned the post, with Davidson adding, "wu tang forever."
Fatherhood is new for Davidson, but it's something the Saturday Night Live alum has been looking forward to.

In a July 2025 Instagram post, Hewitt announced that she and Davidson were expecting.
The model uploaded a series of images, including a sonogram, with the caption, "Welp now everyone knows we had sex."
Throughout her pregnancy, Hewitt shared glimpses of her growing bump while enjoying the summer and the holidays.
Scottie was born in December 2025

Two weeks before Christmas, Davidson and Hewitt welcomed their daughter, Scottie, on Dec. 12, revealing her arrival nearly a week later.
"Our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025," she wrote on Instagram.
She is named after Davidson's late father

Scottie is named after Davidson's late father, Scott Matthew Davidson.
Davidson was 7 years old when his dad, a New York City firefighter, died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Scottie's first name is a tribute to Davidson's late father, and her middle name, Rose, is the same as her mom's. Davidson and Hewitt also gave Scottie both of their last names.

During a July 2025 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, host Jimmy Fallon congratulated Davidson on the baby news.
"It's my dream to be a dad, so I'm so excited," he responded. "Elsie's excited. I'm excited to see her be a mom. So we're stoked."
That same month, Davidson revealed to E! News that his comedian friends, including Colin Jost and Adam Sandler, had begun sharing parenthood advice with him and were encouraging as well.
"I'm very lucky and very, very happy. ... Everybody's just been super excited for me, because they know it's been my dream," Davidson said. "They all just have been like, 'You're going to be great at this. It's the best thing you'll ever do in your life.' "
He is looking forward to the responsibility of fatherhood

Speaking to E! News in July 2025, Davidson shared that one thing he was looking forward to about fatherhood was "being able to take care of something, and show it the childhood I didn’t have."
"I assume you just try to give them what you didn’t have, and what you didn’t like, not do it," he added.
The actor-comedian later revealed to PEOPLE that his friend mgk voiced valuable insight about parenting.
"The best advice I've heard him say is that you're the first person in the kid's life, so they will always love you," he said in December 2025. "It's like this love that you'll never feel ever again ... And I'm just really excited for that moment."
Davidson is already leaning into his minivan dad era

In a December 2025 PARENTS interview, Davidson revealed that he was already leaning into his minivan dad era, thanks to eBay’s Built to Spec series, with which he was partnering to help outfit his new cruiser.
Davidson's van has items a new parent needs built in, such as a changing station, a bottle warmer and a vacuum. The King of Staten Island star also mentioned using the vehicle in the future when Scottie gets older.
"I’m not a camper person, but I imagine that’s something I’ll fall in love doing with my kid one day," he said. "So they put this thing on top that when you park, it parachutes out so you can put a chair under it and sit on the side of the road and drink a coffee — or something like that."
On the set of his eBay shoot, Davidson told PEOPLE, "I personally love minivans."
“I don't think there's anything wrong with them or the stigma that comes with one; I had one before I was having a baby," he continued. “I'm taking it everywhere. I'm not just going to use it to be a dad, this thing is sick."
