The 2026 Winter Olympic Games are officially underway, and last night, George and Amal Clooney gave Milan some of their signature couples style.

Attending Omega House’s 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics opening night, the human rights lawyer stepped out in one of her go-to evening-wear silhouettes: a long gathered gown, complete with a sweetheart neckline and figure-hugging silhouette.

Featuring a strapless, ruffled bodice, the classic black piece was designed with a central seam down the front, from which ruched V-shaped detailing contoured the body in romantic, semi-sheer sweeps. At the calves, a little slit split the fabric down the middle, creating a mini train that framed Amal’s pointy black heels.

Beside her, George gave his navy-blue suit a relaxed twist, thanks to the white dress shirt he left unbuttoned down to his chest. He wore the look without a tie and added a black belt and matching shiny loafers, balancing elegance with breezy comfort.

Amal paired her dress with sculptural gold-and-diamond dangly earrings—another frequent pick for the star—as well as a gold bangle and black clutch. Her long brown hair was styled in voluminous waves, and she focused her glam on long lashes and bronzed eye shadow.

Just last month, Amal wore a similar—though bright red—style to the 2026 Golden Globes. At the award ceremony, she walked (and matched!) the red carpet in a remake of a 1957 Balmain gown, designed with the same sweetheart neckline and swooping gathers seen last night in Milan.
