Christmas is this week and if you are looking to mail a package or conduct a banking transaction on the holiday, it is a good idea to plan ahead.
While some restaurant chains will remain open on Dec. 25 this year, nearly all grocery and retail chains will be closed, and that will also be the case for banks, post offices and shipping services.

Post offices will reopen for retail transactions on Dec. 26, and mail will be delivered that day.
Are banks open on Christmas?
Branches of Bank of America, Truist, PNC, Capital One, Wells Fargo, CitiBank, JPMorgan Chase, and other banks will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25.
Banks will reopen under their regular operating hours on Friday, Dec. 26.
Are shipping services, like UPS and FedEx, open on Christmas?
UPS pickup and delivery services will not be available on Christmas, and UPS Store locations may be closed, according to the company's website. Customers are encouraged to check with their local store for specific hours of operation.
