Britney Spearsis sending a message to her family after missing Christmas celebrations with them.
The longtime entertainer, 44, has been keeping busy this month and based on recent posts on Instagram, spent the holidays someplace tropical. She was even reported to have gotten in some quality time with her 19-year-old son, Jayden James, according to People.
Meanwhile, several members of Britney's family reunited in Louisiana, including her sisterJamie Lynn Spears, her mother Lynne Spears and her 20-year-old son Sean Preston. Britney was not pictured in any photos from the gathering—and she just confirmed that she did not attend.

"Merry late Christmas to my beautiful family who have never disrespected me, harmed me, ever done anything completely unacceptable or caused unbelievable trauma, the kind you can't fix," Britney wrote in an Instagram post that featured a photo of a Christmas tree.
She continued, "To my dear sweet innocent family … so so sorry I was busy this Christmas but I will definitely show up and surprise you soon … I can’t wait."
Britney also sent a message to Jamie Lynn's youngest daughter Ivey, writing, "Hello, beautiful Ivy [sp] … I just want to hold you, my love … Godspeed, friends."
While it's unclear if Britney's message was sincere or had a slightly sarcastic tone, she appears to have enjoyed how she spent the holiday season. In another post, shared shortly after she posted her initial message, Britney could be seen dancing in a bikini.
"I was at the beach for 2 hours !!! I just got back from this beautiful place !!! I think I created another planet there … awwwwe, so cute and special !!!" Britney wrote in part of the caption.
Hopefully Britney had a great holiday season, exactly how she wanted.
