Getting older brings many unwelcome changes, but a dropping neck that many should be "censored" is something Donald Trump, like many of us, probably didn't anticipate.
The president, who celebrated his 80th birthday in June, is well accustomed to facing his share of online critics, but lately they've zeroed in on his appearance, particularly the sagging skin around his neck.
Trump typically appears in his signature navy two-piece suit paired with a crisp white shirt and red tie, an ensemble he's worn to countless events throughout the year. However, in recent months, the commander-in-chief has faced harsh criticism over the excess skin visible above his collar, which critics have compared to various things, including parts of female anatomy.
• Donald Trump's hands alleged to be 'rotting' as fingers 'look like stuffed sausages'
• Trump savagely ridiculed as 'entire head of hair' flies off while leg tapping sparks health concerns
Earlier this month, during the White House Correspondents Dinner, Trump was branded "utterly disgusting" when observers believed he made a rather revealing gesture, reports the Mirror US.
A photo circulated on X, rapidly gaining significant attention. Along with the picture, one user wrote, "Trump's neck at the White House Correspondents' dinner was rated NC-17."

The close-up image of his neck sparked viewers to make remarkably specific comparisons. Given its pink tinge and shape, it was once again likened to female anatomy.

One X user replied, "Looks like early signs of a yeast infection to me," prompting someone else to joke, "Bet when he sees his self in the mirror he tries to grab it.
"Thought they had to blur those things out," wondered another, with a fourth suggesting, "Time for Trump to disappear for a few days while cosmetic surgery is done to stretch the neck a bit tighter."
With speculation running rampant online, Dr. Gizem Seymenoglu, a London-based aesthetic practitioner whose consultations are arranged through Longevita, shed some light on the appearance of Trump's neck.

In an exclusive interview with the Mirror US, Dr. Gizem indicated there's no clear evidence suggesting that Trump's neck appearance stems from a botched cosmetic procedure.
According to the practitioner, the appearance of loose skin and folds around Trump’s neck is most likely the result of natural ageing changes affecting the skin and the underlying neck muscles.
“What we're seeing is consistent with the platysma muscle relaxing over time, combined with a natural loss of skin elasticity,” Dr. Gizem explained. “That combination on its own is enough to explain this look.”
Dr. Gizem went on to say that the platysma muscle helps define the contour of the neck, and as both the muscle and overlying skin lose firmness with age, the area can begin to appear looser and develop more noticeable folds.
“The neck is one of the areas where signs of ageing often become more visible. As skin elasticity decreases and the underlying tissues relax, folds and looseness can develop naturally over time,” she warned
