If The Pitt's Dr. Santos ever decides to change careers, she might want to consider music.
That's because Isa Briones — the Actor Award-winning actress who plays the headstrong second-year resident on the hit HBO Max series — is a skilled singer, with a number of musical theater stage credits.
She made her Broadway debut in 2024 playing Eurydice in Hadestown, and is currently on the boards playing Connie Francis in Just in Time, the hit musical about the life and career of "Mack the Knife" and "Beyond the Sea" crooner Bobby Darin.
Briones had her first performance in Just in Time on Wednesday, April 1 at the Circle in the Square Theatre in New York City.
Nearly a week later, on Tuesday, April 7, Just in Time dropped a music video of Briones singing "Who's Sorry Now" — one of Francis' biggest hits.

Fans immediately took to the comments section to praise her performance. "This is SO good," one wrote. "My brain can't even comprehend that this is the same person from The Pitt."
"Good LORD can this lady sing!" another added. "Such an incredibly strong voice. Such a talented person."

Of course, there were some who couldn't poke fun at her on-screen character. "She'll do anything but her charts," a commenter quipped.

"Dr. Robby could never," someone else joked.

Briones, 27, comes from a musical family. Her mother, Megan Briones and younger brother, Teo Briones, are both actors is her father, Jon Jon Briones. He played the Engineer in the 2014 West End revival of Miss Saigon, and received an Olivier Award nomination for his work. He reprised the part when the production transferred to Broadway years later.
Jon Jon and Isa have starred together on stage, too. In Hadestown, he played Hermes opposite her Eurydice.
Isa's additional stage credits include last season's Off-Broadway hit All Night, the first national touring company of Hamilton, Musical Theatre West's Grease and East West Players' Next to Normal, which earned her an L.A. Ovation Award.
She's not the only member of The Pitt who is currently on Broadway, either. Patrick Ball, who plays Dr. Santos' rival Dr. Frank Langdon, is making his Broadway debut in Becky Shaw, the razor-sharp dark comedy from two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Gina Gionfriddo.
Just in Time has been a box office smash since it began performances on March 31, 2025. Developed and directed by Tony winner Alex Timbers, the production is scheduled to run through Sept. 6, 2026 and currently stars Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Matthew Morrison as Darin.
Morrison's limited three-week engagement in the show wraps on April 19. Two-time Tony nominee and Grammy nominee Jeremy Jordan takes over starting April 21.
That's also when Carrie St. Louis will take over the role of former teen idol Sandra Dee. She succeeds Sadie Dickerson in the part.
