Dylan Dreyer got called out for a comment she made off-camera during the 3rd Hour of Today on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The 45-year-old meteorologist was chatting with her co-anchors Al Roker and Craig Melvin during a segment on the show about fast food chains catering to customers using GLP-1 injections.
“Do you want to mention what you asked Craig during the story?” Roker asked once the cameras went back on them.

“I asked if you do the shot,” Dreyer said to Melvin, 47, who raised his eyebrows at the comment. “I did. You thought I was being judgy. I was literally just asking because I feel like everyone I know is on it.”
“I took it as maybe Craig should be on the shot,” Melvin quipped.
Roker, 72, pointed out that Melvin has recently shed some pounds, and Melvin confirmed it, saying, “I have lost some weight. I know.”
However, Dreyer insisted that she was “not being judgy,” adding, “I think you just assume I’m being judgy.”

With faux indignation, Melvin then replied, “Assume! I sit next to you every day for years!”
“I just make comments!” Dreyer said.
Of course, it was Roker who ended the lighthearted exchange with a joke, saying, “Mommy and Daddy are fighting!”
Melvin did not confirm or deny whether he used a GLP-1 injection, after the segment shared that 1 in 10 Americans use a GLP-1 for weight loss.

Despite covering many stories surrounding the GLP-1 revolution on the NBC morning show, none of the anchors have publicly spoken about taking the medication.
In September 2025, Jenna Bush Hager said she didn’t take the shot on her fourth hour talk show, noting, “I mean I haven’t done it because I want to eat, you know? Among other reasons.”
