Netflix released the cast list for Grown Ups 3 in August 2026
Adam Sandler, Kevin James, David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider are all reprising their roles
The comedy will pick back up with the characters of Grown Ups (2010) and Grown Ups 2 (2013)
Adam Sandler and his motley crew of childhood friends are once again reuniting for a summer of antics in Group Ups 3.
The movie will pick back up with its stars several years after the release of Group Ups 2. Sandler and his wife, Jackie, will reprise their roles as Lenny Feder and Jackie Tardio, respectively. The couple’s two daughters, Sunny and Sadie, will also make an appearance.
Behind the scenes, Adam wrote Grown Ups 3 alongside Tim Herlihy, and Jackie is serving as one of the film’s producers. Kyle Newacheck is directing the movie after having worked with Adam on 2019’s Murder Mysteryand 2025’s Happy Gilmore 2.
Aside from Lenny, beloved original characters Eric Lamonsoff (Kevin James), Marcus Higgins (David Spade), Kurt McKenzie (Chris Rock) and Rob Hilliard (Rob Schneider) are also set to return.
“It’s gonna be pretty massive,” James said on the Brad Galli Show in June 2026. “Anything [Adam] does is pretty massive, so I’m excited to be a part of it.”

What will Grown Ups 3 be about?

Grown Ups 3 will once again feature a reunion between Lenny and his childhood best friends. Now that their kids are also grown up, “the gang is finally free to go on the ultimate adventure,” per the official logline.
As a refresher, the original Grown Ups follows Lenny, Eric, Marcus, Kurt and Rob as they spend the Fourth of July weekend together following the death of their junior high basketball coach.

Grown Ups 2, meanwhile, picks back up with Lenny after he and his wife, Roxanne (Salma Hayek), move their family from L.A. back to his hometown. Lenny reunites with Eric, Marcus and Kurt upon his return and the foursome soon find themselves in a hilarious conflict with a local fraternity.
Who is returning for Grown Ups 3?

Several original cast members are returning for Grown Ups 3. Along with Sandler, James, Spade, Rock, Schneider and Hayek, that list also includes Maria Bello, who plays Eric’s wife Sally, Maya Rudolph, who plays Kurt’s wife Deanne and Joyce Van Patten, who plays Rob’s wife Gloria.
Steve Buscemi is reprising his role as Wiley, the eccentric former teammate of the friend group. Grown Ups 3 is also getting another cameo from NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, who will once again play Officer Fluzoo, a bumbling local police officer.
Cameron Boyce, who played Lenny and Roxanne’s son Keith in both Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2, died in July 2019 at the age of 20. Sandler subsequently honored him in Happy Gilmore 2, where he added a clip from Boyce’s Disney Channel show Jessie onto a TV screen.
“This was just a moment where we were like, ‘What should we throw on the TV?’ ” he told The Hollywood Reporter in July 2025. “We said, ‘Might as well throw Cameron in there. He’s the man. Keep him part of our family.’ And so that’s why we did it.”
Which new cast members are joining Grown Ups 3?

In addition to its returning cast members, Grown Ups 3 will also feature three new faces: Bridge to Terabithia actress Bailee Madison, black-ishstar Deon Cole and Modern Family alum Julie Bowen.
When is Grown Ups 3 coming out?
Grown Ups 3 has started filming in New Jersey, however no official release date for the film has been shared by Netflix.
