Donald Trump would likely enjoy credit for more Americans having babies and getting married amid a massive political push to embrace conservative family values, but Fox and Friends gave credit to one of his biggest enemies instead – Taylor Swift.
The Fox News morning show, which is usually known for its unwavering support of Donald Trump on its broadcasts, discussed a trend affecting marriage on the Thursday, September 24 episode, following a story about marriage coming into favor again, just one year after reports it no longer was.
However, following her viral moment during new husband Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game over the weekend, the show’s hosts surprisingly gave credit to Swift – in a blow to Trump, who has frequently feuded with the pop star.

The moment came as correspondent Molly Line introduced a story about women reportedly seeking out relationships again. “Women are reportedly longing for relationships again as love is apparently making a comeback. A new Evie Magazine headline reads, quote, ‘now everyone wants to be in love,’” she said. “This article is out less than a year since Vogue asked it’s readers, ‘is having a boyfriend embarrassing now?’”
“The writer says Taylor Swift is helping to drive this trend,” she continued, citing the viral moment where Swift was seen pointing at her wedding ring and shouting “That’s my husband!” after Kelce scored a touchdown during overtime, which propelled the Chiefs to a win.

After also sharing that the article pointed at Zendaya and Tom Holland and Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi as influences, Line finished her report by saying, “Love is in the air. I love being married! Get married!”
This led Brian Kilmeade to ask her if she personally endorsed marriage, before he turned to his cohosts, Ainsley Earhardt and Lawrence B Jones, where he brought up Swift.
“So the question is, if he makes a big drop, do they cut to Taylor Swit and go, yeah, ‘That’s my husband who just dropped a fourth and 10?’ Do they do that too? Is it for better or for worse? Is that the vows?”

After Earhardt confirmed that was in the marriage vows, Kilmeade appeared poised to credit Trump and the conservative movement’s push for more marriage and babies.

Kilmeade said, “So that’s good news. America is embracing marriage again, in just one year. One year we weren’t for marriage, now we’re for it again! People searching for love!”
However, Lawrence B Jones and Earhardt were quick to shift the credit to Swift. “America discovering marriage when Taylor Swift got married, who would have thought?” Jones said sarcastically.
“The influence, the power she has,” Earhart said, as Jones rolled his eyes and said, “It’s unbelievable.” Kilmeade quickly changed his tune and agreed with them, saying, “Now everyone wants that.”

The trio then poked fun at Swift and Kelce’s July 3 nuptials, which took place at Madison Square Garden and featured a veritable who’s who of Hollywood and sports related attendees. “And we can all relate to a marriage at Madison Square Garden,” Kilmeade quipped. “We’ve all been there!”
“Rght, we can all relate to the million dollars in our bank account,” Earhardt added, as Kilmeade ended the segment joking, “Absolutely, sworn to secrecy, take your phones.”
The trio’s credit to Swift comes after she and Trump have frequently been at odds, specifically after she endorsed his Democratic opponent, Kamala Harris, in the 2024 presidential election.

Her endorsement of Harris came after Trump shared AI-generated images claiming she had endorsed him, and following her criticism of that in her endorsement of Harris, Trump reacted on Truth Social with a post declaring, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”
He later called into a Fox and Friends episode, where he said, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time…She’s a very liberal person, she seems to always endorse a Democrat and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”
Trump then appeared to reignite the conflict in 2025, posting on his Truth Social, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ SHE’S NO LONGER HOT?” and further compared her to Sydney Sweeney after the Euphoria star was outed as a Republican."

“Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there. It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are ‘flying off the shelves.’ Go get ‘em Sydney!,” he wrote at the time, as Sweeney faced backlash for the ad, which was accused of promoting eugenics.
“Just look at Woke singer Taylor Swift,” he added. “Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can’t stand her (HATE!). She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT.”
Swift has never publicly addressed Trump’s frequent attacks on her, but some fans raised eyebrows at her wedding date choice with Kelce, which came just one day before the America 250 celebration Trump was tied to due to the 250th anniversary of the United States.
