Audiences want more “Entourage for internet It girls,” as ELLE digital cover star Rachel Sennott so eloquently described her HBO show I Love LA.

The series—which is still rolling out episodes for its first season—is already set to return for a second. The renewal news was announced in November 2025 during HBO’s 2026 slate presentation in New York City.

The series follows Sennott’s Maia, an aspiring talent manager who takes on the job of managing her influencer friend Tallulah (Odessa A’zion). Their tight-knit friend group, including Charlie (Jordan Firstman), Alani (True Whitaker), and Maia’s boyfriend, Dylan (Josh Hutcherson), often find themselves in chaotically messy situations as they try to navigate the internet and entertainment industry.

“I think I’ve yet to see the internet captured [in TV and film] as the business that it is,” Sennott told Firstman during their conversation for ELLE. “It was really fun and felt refreshing to do a show in L.A. and not have it be about Hollywood.”

What will season 2 be about?

Season 1 was all about Maia seeking success at work and approval from her boss while dealing with her home life and sister. Sennott told Deadline that the story runs parallel to her own experience of going through her twenties.

“I think part of it was going through my Saturn Return, and I feel like this thing sort of happens—my early 20s were really chaotic,” she explained. “My mid-20s, I was like, ‘Okay, I’m locking in. I know my life. I’m done.’ And then at the end of my 20s, I feel like that kind of early version of myself came [out] and things got chaotic again, which was scary, but good.”

Who is in the cast?

An official season 2 cast announcement hasn’t been made yet, but for now, it seems likely that those returning would include Sennott, A’zion, Firstman, Whitaker, Hutcherson, and Leighton Meester, who plays Maia’s boss.

When does season 2 of I Love LA come out?

HBO hasn’t revealed a release date for season 2 yet, but stay tuned.
