If you’ve been on Instagram this week, you’ll know that the year 2016 has been having quite the moment on the internet. But it’s also been having its turn in the street style spotlight, thanks to stars like Jennifer Aniston.

The actor, braving the cold in New York City, pulled together a snowy-weather look that took us back in time (thanks mostly to her statement hat). Stepping out for a walk, she bundled up in a long puffer coat, zipped all the way up and cinched at her thighs with an elastic hem. The light olive-green outerwear, which appeared to be pulled from Phoebe Philo’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection for Céline (see here), was designed with a soft cocoon hood and extra-long sleeves, with front pockets perfect for a spare pair of mittens.

Aniston wore the parka over light-wash denim jeans, which fell in a straight-leg silhouette down to her white platform sneakers, and added several accessories to the functional-yet-stylish look. Most notably, she let the hood fall down her back and instead protected her head from the cold with a floppy, wide-brimmed fedora, reminiscent of styles popular back in the 2010s. The piece also provided a bit of privacy for the actor, who paired it with oversize sunglasses for an incognito look.

Around her neck, she tied a cozy black sweater like a scarf for extra warmth. The Friends star finished things off with a slouchy leather shoulder bag, and held an iPad and reading glasses in her arms.
