Jimmy Kimmel is reacting to Guillermo Rodriguez’s latest Dancing With the Stars performance.

The late-night host celebrated his pal making it through to the third week and also poked fun at Donald Trump.

Kimmel also commended Rodriguez on his dance skills, noting that he was “doing better” each week.

Jimmy Kimmel is celebrating his pal Guillermo Rodriguez’s Dancing With the Stars run and taking a little jab at Donald Trump along the way.

The 58-year-old host caught up with Rodriguez on Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he praised his costar for making it through another week on the reality dance competition and becoming a fan favorite among viewers.

“Not only does Guillermo appear to be the crowd favorite, I feel like it’s possible that the other contestants on the show are rooting for you too,” Kimmel said before showing footage of the other competitors rallying around Guillermo and his pro, Witney Carson, after their performance.

To which Rodriguez happily cheered, “They want me to keep going!”

Rodriguez and Carson performed a Paso doble to the tune of Rihanna’s “Where Have You Been” on Tuesday for week 2’s “Viral Hits Night.” While they received 12 points total, the pair ultimately made it through to next week, with Giada De Laurentiis and her pro partner, Alan Bersten, being sent home instead.

“Once again, Guillermo got the lowest score of all the dancers on the show and, once again, the people said, ‘We don’t care. We’re gonna vote for him,’” Kimmel teased. “It’s so exciting, you’ve now won the popular vote more times than Donald Trump. You realize that?”

Trump has only ever won the popular vote once in his three presidential runs. Despite winning the 2016 election via the Electoral College, the politician actually lost the popular vote to Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton by roughly 2.8 million votes. He also lost the popular vote by over 7 million votes to former president Joe Biden in 2020.

The former reality star did, however, win the popular vote by roughly 2.2 million votes in the 2024 election against former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Kimmel did acknowledge, however, that Rodriguez’s dance skills are slowly but surely improving on the show.

“Last week, he got a 10. This week you got a 12. So you’re doing better,” he praised. “All three judges gave Guillermo a four, and your fans — I don’t know if you know this — were very upset. They felt that you should’ve gotten a better score.”

The host jokingly continued, “But I’ll tell you something, I know another great American who got a four score, and his name was Abraham Lincoln. And now he’s on the five dollar bill, Guillermo.”

Rodriguez becoming a Dancing With the Stars sensation was “not a surprise” to Kimmel.

“I had a feeling this was gonna happen,” he said. “I really did. The only people who are surprised by Guillermo’s good fortune are the ones who forget he got his big break by falling asleep in a parking lot while at work guarding that parking lot. You live under a lucky star.”
