Kaia Gerber’s friends are finding ways to support the model during a tumultuous week.
On Sept. 23, Gerber’s boyfriend, actor Lewis Pullman, and several of The Shards star’s friends, including Jake Shane, met to tape up posters reportedly for Gerber’s missing cat, according to photos obtained by TMZ.
In the pictures, the group hugs and posts “Lost Cat” flyers featuring a shy gray cat with green eyes named Tony, who is wearing a tracker, according to the signs. The pet posters feature bold red type framing the missing cat’s photo.
Tony’s disappearance comes during a heartbreaking time for Gerber, 25. On Sept. 20, Kaia’s brother Presley Gerber died at the age of 27. He died at a rehab facility, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records obtained by PEOPLE.
Per Santa Monica, Calif., police recordings obtained by PEOPLE, Presley suffered an apparent overdose and went into cardiac arrest before his death.

The Santa Monica Police Department shared in a statement that an autopsy was conducted on Monday, but “the cause and manner of death have been deferred, which means additional testing and/or studies were requested in order to make a determination.”

A representative for Presley’s family — his mother, Cindy Crawford, father, Rande Gerber, and Kaia — tells PEOPLE, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”

Four days before her brother’s death, Kaia shared with PEOPLE how Presley had shown his love recently by supporting her new show, The Shards.
“My brother’s been watching, which is very sweet. He sends me photos watching,” Kaia said in the Sept. 16 interview.
In an Aug. 11 cover interview with Vogue, Kaia opened up about what the outlet called Presley’s “decade-long struggle with addiction.” She said she, Crawford, 60, and Rande, 64, see Presley as an “absolute teacher” of honesty.

“My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything — and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone,’” she said. “There’s only so much you can hide from the world.”
