Manchester United takes on Paris Saint-Germain at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden on Saturday. Both clubs are looking to knock the rust off as they approach the start of their domestic campaigns.

Michael Carrick's side has won two in a row, thumping Rosenborg 5-0 and coming from behind to beat Atlético Madrid 2-1 after opening the summer with a 1-0 loss to Wrexham.

Carrick took over in January and lifted United from seventh to third, which puts the club back in the Champions League.

The Champions League and Ligue 1 holders finally moved in the market on Thursday after a quiet summer, signing France forward Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco for a reported 50 million euros.

Saturday is the last tune-up before PSG plays Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday. United opens the Premier League against Hull City on August 22.

Manchester United vs. PSG prediction, pick

PSG is welcoming its World Cup players back in with the Super Cup four days away, so this is the closest thing to a real workout Luis Enrique has had all summer. United has more minutes banked, but the gap in talent is just too big despite the rust.

Prediction: Manchester United 1, PSG 2
