The coveted prize at the Masters each April is the green jacket that gives a lifetime membership to Augusta National Golf Club, and the right to come up with the menu for the Champions Dinner the following year.
But that isn't the only thing the winner receives.
They will also see their wallet much heftier than it was when they arrived at Augusta National Golf Club earlier in the week, as they receive the largest share from the Masters purse.
2026 Masters Predictions: Expert picks for Augusta National
The purse for the Masters has gone up each of the last few years, since 2020. This likely means that the pool for the winner of the 2026 Masters Tournament will receive a larger payout than what Rory McIlroy received last year, which was larger than what Scottie Scheffler received the prior year.
The 90th Masters Tournament gets underway bright and early on Thursday morning with the first group teeing off at 7:40 a.m. ET. McIlroy tees off at 10:31 a.m. ET while Scheffler is in the second-to-last group of Thursday's first round at 1:44 p.m. ET.
