NEW YORK – Nicole Kidman is ready for her "summer fun" era.

The Oscar-winning actress told USA TODAY at the premiere of the Apple TV+ series "Margo's Got Money Troubles" that this summer she has "nothing going on." And it's by design.

"I have teenage girls, and we want to have our whole summer (together)," Kidman, 58, said. "We're going to go have some summer fun."

Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning attend the premiere of Apple TV+'s "Margo's Got Money Troubles" on April 08, 2026 in New York City.

Kidman shares two daughters — 17-year-old Sydney Rose and 15-year-old Faith Margaret — with ex-husband Keith Urban. As a part of their divorce, which was finalized in January, the two stars are following a parenting plan in which the "Eyes Wide Shut" actress has primary custody.

Kidman initiated divorce proceedings on Sept. 30 in Tennessee after 19 years of marriage.

While her summer is free, Kidman is keeping busy this spring. Production began last month for Season 2 of the Prime Video crime thriller "Scarpetta," which she stars in alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Bobby Cannavale. Kidman remarked that it's "amazing to already have" another season of the series.

As for "Margo," Kidman plays a small camera role and serves as an executive producer for the series. The show, based on the 2024 novel from Rupi Thorpe, stars Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Nick Offerman. It premieres with the first three episodes streaming on Apple TV+ on April 15.

"It's fantastic to be able to be behind the camera," Kidman said of her executive producer role, also noting that it was "so exciting" to have Pfeiffer and Fanning "front and center" on the show. "Obviously, I have a small role in it, but I'm just happy to be here watching great actors do great work."

Kidman's next film, a sequel to 1998's "Practical Magic," is slated for a Sept. 11, 2026, release. Last year, the actress shared on Instagram that the movie had wrapped and thanked the cast and crew "for all your magic."
