Prince William and Kate Middleton took to social media to share a new family photo. However, many were quick to point out its resemblance to one of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s earlier photos. The similarity was with an image from the Sussexes’ Disneyland trip this year.

The Waleses’ rear-facing picture echoes the style of several Sussex family posts

The Waleses recently shared a rear-facing photo on Instagram. Many believed it resembled one of the photos from Meghan Markle’s Mother’s Day dump this year. The photo shows Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis walking with their backs to the camera. Around them, the crowd and paparazzi appear to cheer them as they pass by. This photo was taken during their attendance at the Commonwealth Games.

The caption read, “Incredible atmosphere at the Commonwealth Games today. Watching world-class talent compete and seeing the power of sport to bring people together is truly special. Thank you to everyone involved for such a wonderful day.”

Many pointed out what felt oddly familiar about the picture. They compared it to Markle’s photo dump from May. In it, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared in casual fits, holding their kids’ hands as they walked through Disneyland.

Posting rear-facing photos is quite common today, with many trends being widely replicated. However, other similarities have also been spotted in the latest social media posts by both the Sussexes and the Waleses.

For instance, the latest carousel pictures from their summer activities have the same vibe. On July 24, Markle posted a carousel captioned “Summer Holiday” with several wholesome family photos. The Waleses also shared their summer rewind pictures and videos soon enough, featuring family and royal moments. These posts came after the Sussexes’ reunion with King Charles at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, England.
