FormerSaturday Night Live star Alex Moffat, 43, made a rare public appearance with his wife, Caroline Rau.
The couple posed together at the "All Out: Comedy About Ambition" Gala Performance, held at New York City's Nederlander Theatre. For the December 18 event, Moffat wore a white button-down shirt underneath a houndstooth blazer and navy blue slacks. He finished off the look with a tie and black dress shoes. Rau opted to wear a black blazer and a red dress with velvet detailing. She accessorized her outfit with layered necklaces.

Moffat appeared on SNLfor six seasons until 2022, per IMDb. The comedian and actor spoke about his time on the NBC sketch comedy series in an October 2024 interview on SNL alums Dana Carvey andDavid Spade's podcast, Fly on the Wall. He shared that he "did like six auditions over the course of four summers" until he was hired as an SNL cast member for its 42nd season, which premiered in 2016. In addition, he spoke fondly of SNL.
"The place definitely has like a very surreal sweet little corner of my heart. I love it so much," said Moffat during the podcast interview.
He also noted that SNL offers a unique experience for performers, likening it to being "[shot] out of a rodeo gate" while millions of people watch. He said, however, that his experiences doing live theater, like the 2023 Broadway play, The Cottage!, can be somewhat similar.
He also noted that he's set to star in the musical, BIGFOOT!, starting in early 2026. When asked if he can sing and dance, Moffat replied he "can do a little bit of each," which he showcased during his run on SNL.
"I'm not blowing anybody's hair back with my voice of an angel. But, you know, I can move my body a little," said the former SNL star.
