The Marty Supreme actor, 30, subtly made a statement when he attended the AFI Awards Luncheon in Los Angeles on Friday, Jan. 9, wearing an 18K white gold Cartier necklace valued at approximately $30,000.
Chalamet paired the sparkly accessory with an all-gray outfit: a gray button-up shirt, a gray jacket, and gray slacks.

The actor's appearance at the event comes days after he took home the 2026 Critics' Choice Award for Best Actor.
His fellow nominees included Leonardo DiCaprio, Joel Edgerton, Ethan Hawke, Michael B. Jordan, and Wagner Moura, whom he acknowledged during his speech. He also took time to thank Marty Supreme's director, Josh Safdie, and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.
"And lastly, I'll just say, thank you to my partner of three years," said Chalamet to close out his speech. "Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn't do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much."

The couple was all glammed up for the event, with Chalamet wearing a pinstripe Givenchy suit with a white button-down, accessorized with a pink flower-pattern silk tie and Chelsea boots.
Jenner, 28, meanwhile, wore a black chainmail Versace gown with a plunging neckline and lace insets along the sides. She wore her dark hair down in soft waves.

It wasn't the first time that the couple wore coordinating outfits. For the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme, the two wore custom Chrome Hearts looks.
Chalamet wore a bright orange leather suit, with an orange silk shirt and orange boots. He accessorized with a Chrome Hearts black leather ping-pong paddle case.

For the occasion, Jenner wore a floor-length orange gown with triangular cutouts below her bust and across her waist. She paired the look with orange pointed-toe pumps and had bright orange nail polish.
