Sources have claimed that Taylor Swift‘s fiancé, Travis Kelce, doesn’t really like Ryan Reynolds. The Chiefs star has allegedly “tolerated” the actor largely for the sake of his fiancée. The report comes amid the ongoing legal battle involving Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, who has been a longtime friend of Swift.

Sources suggest Travis Kelce is not a fan of Ryan Reynolds

According to a recent report by Rob Shuter, Travis Kelce, now engaged to Taylor Swift, has disliked Ryan Reynolds for a long time. Speaking with Shuter’s Naughty But Nice, insider sources have claimed that the Kansas City Chiefs star feels “uneasy” around the Deadpool actor.

“Travis just doesn’t trust him,” a source has claimed. “He thinks Ryan’s always ‘on’ — and that rubs him the wrong way,” they added. The star tight end reportedly did not enjoy the double dates he and Taylor Swift went to with Reynolds and Blake Lively.

“He hated the double-dating. He felt like it was all optics and no authenticity,” the source said. They further stated, “Travis is blunt and real. Ryan is curated. That contrast never worked.”

According to the source, Kelce “quietly tolerated” Reynolds for Swift’s sake. “He kept his distance emotionally. He didn’t trust him enough to relax,” an insider claimed.

The insider also said that Kelce “didn’t want forced hangouts or performative friendships.” The NFL star and podcaster reportedly “wanted real people, real energy.” The source added, “Travis doesn’t fake it. If he doesn’t like you, he won’t play along.”

The claims arrive just a few weeks after Taylor Swift’s text messages with Blake Lively were unsealed as exhibits involved in Lively’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. The private messages surfaced on January 20, 2026, ahead of the January 22 summary judgment hearing of the case.

Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni is scheduled to go to trial on May 18, 2026.
