Fans hoping to watch “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” from home may have to wait several months before the latest Marvel superhero film arrives on a major streaming service.
The movie, starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, opened exclusively in theaters July 31. Sony Pictures has not announced an official digital or streaming release date for the film.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is distributed by Sony Pictures, meaning its streaming path differs from many other movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that head directly to Disney+ after their theatrical and home-release windows.
The film is expected to first become available to rent or purchase through digital platforms before moving to a subscription streaming service. Decider estimates that a digital release could come around early November, roughly three months after the movie’s theatrical debut. However Complex Pop Culture reported "Brand New Day" will stay in theaters until Nov. 16 so that could potentially push back streaming dates.
Netflix is expected to be the movie’s first subscription streaming home in the United States, according to Decider.
Sony Pictures and Netflix announced a new multiyear agreement in January that makes Netflix the exclusive “Pay-1” streaming destination for Sony’s feature films following their theatrical and home entertainment releases. Netflix already holds those rights to Sony films in the United States.
Based on Sony’s typical release schedule, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” could arrive on Netflix in late 2026 or early 2027, according to Decider. A specific date has not been announced.

Disney+ subscribers will likely have to wait even longer.
Disney has an agreement allowing Sony movies to eventually move to Disney-owned streaming platforms after their initial Netflix window. Decider estimates “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” could reach Disney+ sometime in 2027, potentially around April, although that timeline remains unofficial.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, “Brand New Day” follows Peter Parker after the events of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” when the world was made to forget his identity.
The film’s cast includes Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
For now, viewers who want to see “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will have to catch it in theaters while awaiting official details on its home and streaming release.
