As of early January 2026, Netflix has not announced whether or not there will be a second season of His & Hers. The murder mystery premiered on the streamer on Jan. 8 and was released as a limited series, meaning that the first season was created with the ability to stand alone without continuing onto a second season.
Although the final episode left off on a somewhat ambiguous note, it answers most of the viewer's questions about the identity and motives of the serial killer.

Luckily for fans of His & Hers, there are already plans to develop more of Feeney's bestselling books.
In 2019, Warner Bros and Ellen DeGeneresā company, A Very Good Production, bought the television rights to her first book, Sometimes I Lie. Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is a longtime fan of Feeney's books, was set to lead.
However, the option expired and was picked up by producer Tommy Harper and writers Matt Charman and Caryl Lewis in 2024, per Deadline.
Sometimes I Lie follows Amber Reynolds after she wakes up from a coma and is only able to use her sense of hearing. As she gets acquainted with her new reality, she begins to suspect that her husband played a role in her accident.
Meanwhile, other production companies have obtained rights to her novels Rock Paper Scissors for a series and Beautiful Ugly for a film.
The former was optioned to executive producer Suzanne Mackie and her production company, Orchid Pictures, in 2021, per Variety. "Itās good, itās scary and itās character-driven,ā Mackie told the publication. āIām very excited by that.ā
Feeney added that she was also "excited and grateful that my book is in such safe hands" and called it a "dream come true."
The bestselling novel follows married couple Adam and Amelia Wright as they take a weekend vacation in hopes of repairing their marriage. However, their idyllic weekend becomes twisted when Amelia gifts Adam, who is face blind, a mysterious letter.
Beautiful Ugly is the final one of Feeney's novels that has been bought for an on-screen adaptation. Todd Lieberman and his production company, Hidden Pictures, acquired the rights in January 2025, per Variety.
āWeāre thrilled to be partnering with Alice on her brilliant and haunting new book,ā Hidden Pictures said in a statement. āWith its unexpected twists, sharp social commentary, and compelling narrative, it has all the elements needed for an exciting adaptation. We canāt wait to find the perfect creative team to help us bring this powerful story to life.ā
Beautiful Ugly follows writer Grady Green whose wife mysteriously disappears after her car is found dangling over a cliff. Grady's life gets turned upside down again when he thinks he sees her a year later.
